What fireplace and chimney work costs in Denver

Typical 2026 ranges across the metro, from a gas fireplace tune-up in Lakewood to a hail-damaged chase cover in Highlands Ranch. Our inspection is free; cleanings are priced at that visit.

Start with the free inspection

Several Denver chimney companies charge for the first look, roughly $165 to $215 at the ones that publish it. Ours costs nothing. We check the chimney from the roof and from inside, photograph what we find and write down a price before anything is touched, so you can compare it with any other quote.

Why the same job costs more in some houses

  • Height and roof. A tall Capitol Hill Victorian takes staging that a ranch in Littleton doesn't.
  • Hail. Dented or cracked caps and chase covers are usually replaced rather than patched.
  • Old unlined flues. Many pre-1940 chimneys need a liner before a new stove, insert or heating appliance is connected.
  • Permits. New stoves, inserts and structural rebuilds need a permit from the city or county, and Denver and Boulder only allow certified wood-burning units.
  • Historic districts. Exterior work on Denver landmarks or in Boulder's historic districts may need review before it starts.
